Niger State Photography Contest.
This annual contest is for secondary school students in Nigeria. It is sponsored by Mr. AbdulBerky U. Ebbo, the founder of Minna Photography Foundation. The event is an annual contest organised by the Hill-Top Creative Arts Foundation. The 1st edition took place at the Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre, Minna, Niger State, Nigeria from 17th – 18th May, 2019. The Objectives are:
- to Introduce the students to photography as art;
- to make them understand that, photography is a subject of study like any other one;
- to encourage students to build a career in photography;
- to promote the value of photography as an essential element of development cutting across all fields of human endeavour;
- to encourage students of secondary schools to develop entrepreneurial habit in photography as a future means of economic sustenance;
- to understand that photography is a means of socio-political commentary, quest for human rights, and a potent tool for societal reordering; and
- that photography is recreational, therapeutic and soul elevating for human stability in mental and emotional health;
